Safety planning

Prepare a plan for the hardest moments.

A safety plan is a written set of steps to keep yourself — or someone you care about — safer during a mental health crisis. These tools can help you or a loved one build one.

Beaches Mental Health is not a crisis service. If you are feeling unsafe or in danger, call 9-1-1, go to your nearest emergency department, or call/text 9-8-8 (Suicide Crisis Helpline, Canada) for 24/7 bilingual, trauma-informed support.
